Roge Michel was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and grew up in the town of Hinche, where he still resides today with his wife and two children. He has worked for Haiti Outreach for over 10 years as an Animator, Project Supervisor and now Director of Community Development in Haiti. The animators work directly with the well committees and community members to train them on all aspects of clean water and sanitation as well as teaching them the skills necessary to maintain the well long term. Clean water and sanitation are key components to the health of the people in Haiti. This community development focus promotes the concept of the Haitian people building a sustainable future for their communities.
