    Organizational Changes at Haiti Outreach

Haiti Outreach is excited to announce the following organizational changes.  On May 30, 2013, Neil Van Dine was named by the Board of Directors to the position of Country Director, Haiti.  Additionally, Dale Snyder was named to the position of Executive Director, United States.  Both Neil and Dale have been with Haiti Outreach since its inception in 1997, and their commitment to the organization’s direction and well-being is unrivaled.

Effective May 31, Jeffrey D. Brown has resigned as President of Haiti Outreach. We are grateful for his service and contributions to the organization.

In addition to these operational changes, Haitian-American Saurel Quettan has agreed to Chair the newly reorganized and dedicated Board of Directors.   Saurel brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role. He is a business management professional with over 20 years of experience, and co-founder, Vice President, and COO of Integrated Construction Management, Inc. of Lithonia, Georgia. He is a seasoned coach, trainer and facilitator, as well as co-founder and board member of Develop Haiti, Inc.

This team, along with the re-energized staff in the U.S. and Haiti, will lead Haiti Outreach as it recommits itself to its Vision: “For Haiti to become a developed country “ and Mission: “To collaborate with the people of Haiti to build and maintain community-initiated projects that advance their development”. We have drilled over 200 clean water wells and created basic water systems, trained local community water management committees, conducted sanitation education, built 4 public schools and facilitated the start-up of the Fonkoze micro-lending bank in Pignon. We will continue with these and other infrastructure projects and community-based management training that foster the development of the country.
