Trips To Haiti Open in Early 2014
Going to a warm climate probably sounds really good right now – yes? Haiti Outreach has 2 group trips that are open for additional travelers in the winter and spring of 2014. The first is from Feb 6 – 14 and the second is April 16 – 24 and is over Easter. The cost is in the range of $1600 – $1800. That covers all flights and transportation, all food and lodging except the first and last day’s food while traveling to and from Haiti. Haiti Outreach Executive Director Dale Snyder will be leading both groups. Trips are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Taking a trip to Haiti, to experience the land and culture, and see the difference the work of Haiti Outreach has made in one of the poorest countries in the world, can be a life-changing experience. Teens are welcome to join these mostly adult trips. During the week you spend in Haiti, you will visit various Haiti Outreach clean water and school projects, observe one or more community and/or water management committee training meetings, hopefully attend a well inauguration ceremony, visit sites in the town of Pignon, and participate on a small project in a nearby community.
If you are interested, and especially since the February trip is not far away, please give the Haiti Outreach office a call (612-929-1122) and talk to Dale or Shelley. Or email Dale at [email protected] with any question you might have. Details about taking a trip to Haiti can be seen by clicking here and reading all the documents there. Applications are also here to download and fill out. Beat the winter – visit tropical Haiti!
