46 bike riders – plus one dog – were up bright and early on a very chilly Sunday morning to ride for a favorite cause – clean water! See below for photos of the team, including our newest and cutest clean water ambassador, Willard the Good Dog.
Haiti Outreach partnered with Minneapolis Park and Rec to host a team that rode in the Minneapolis Bike Tour on September 17. Riders chose between a 17 mile or 32 mile route that took them along Minneapolis streets (which were closed down just for the ride!), through parks and near our beautiful lakes and Mississippi river.
Everyone left from Boom Island, and met back in the same spot to enjoy an after party with lively music, yummy food trucks and a free beer(thanks to Utepils).
Congrats to Ride for Water team that successfully raised over $13,000 for sustainable clean water projects in Haiti! Way to go!!
Many thanks to Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club for your $10,000 donation towards the ride, and to Minneapolis Park and Rec Department for allowing us to partner with you on this ride.
Thanks to everyone who rode with us! We can’t wait for next year!
